VON BØØM Punkrockterrorists CD F.D.A. Rekotz I was pretty impressed with the material Von Bøøm presented on their split with Motorbreath and any fears of a band that returns after two decades and completely ruin any heritage was soon washed away. What this means is that I approach this CD in a different manner as I already know they can deliver, so this time I expect quality instead of just hope they won’t loose their dignity, and so it’s impossible not to be somewhat harsher and more critical in judgement. With all the above out of the way I can focus on the music, and I still enjoy what they have to offer. The CD holds sixteen tracks that are all executed in a fairly rapid manner, totalling thirty-one minutes of sharp punk rock with an extra dose of raw aggression added. There are also a couple of longer mid-tempo tunes and as a whole those are the tracks that I don’t care too much for, I prefer when they lay down the law in about a minute and a half. I’m not quite as taken by this as I was with that Motorbreath split two years ago and there are moments when I loose interest a bit, but it for sure has its moments and I don’t mind having Von Bøøm around for some time to come. ADRENICIDE Kill CD Endless Brutality of Men Records A site for self development for the post modern hippie discusses the concept of when “enough is enough”: “Enough can describe quantity or quality, depending on the subject or object”. Adrenicide released “Kill” last year as their fourth album in three years, and to top it off, the released yet another full length last year. To put it bluntly, on this release they clearly excel in quantity, and fail miserably in terms of quality. Kårén - April 30, 2010 |

ASSASSINATORS/D.S.B. split 7” Alerta Antifascista/Halo of Flies Records At first look this might seem as an odd pairing of bands, and I agree. I still think it’s somewhat strange, but that doesn’t stop it from being two good bands for the price of one so it’s really a good deal. Danish Assassinators continue to deliver the melodic punk they’ve proven to be very good at in the past. Krogh – April 29, 2010 |

TERRORSTAT/TWISTED SYSTEM split CD Endless Brutality of Men Eighteen tracks in thirty-six minutes and a Swedish - American crustcore team-up with two bands that I think would have benefited from doing separate releases. When a bands’ style is described as raw, rampant crustcore with a couple of heavy mid-tempo breakdowns it could just as well be a way of tip-toeing around the fact that they don’t have so much to offer as it could mean...
